The 10th Venus Berlin is yet again the worlds largest and most important international trade fair for the erotic sector and will be celebrating its 10th anniversary from 19th to 22nd October 2006. Even more special suppliers in a wide variety of ranges will be presenting the colourful diversity of the erotic industry at this years Venus. New products from all over the world will be waiting for buyers as they penetrate the market.

Every year, the Venus Exhibition challenges these buzzwords, offering exhibitors and trade dealers alike a platform for securing your future. One of the goals for the 10th anniversary was to tap a key B2B niche at the Venus: a concentrated range of offers for Internet operators and Webmasters. In the form of its new VENUS-WEB-Area, the Exhibition now offers a peaceful area for all Webmasters, content dealers or payment system providers etc. This is the first step towards merging areas which are naturally compatible. Das Filmmaterial, das Sie hier sehen, repräsentiert wertvolle Zeitdokumente sexueller Kultur des 20. Jahrhunderts. Besondere Berücksichtung findet die Zeit in den USA zwischen 1930 und den späten 50er Jahren. Damals wurde noch in schwarzweiß gedreht und diese Filme wurden auch "Smokers" genannt unter Bezug auf die verrauchten Räume in denen sie vorgeführt wurden.
Musik aus dieser Zeit wurde damals separat dazu gespielt, um den Film aufregender zu machen.
Die Handlung dieser Filme ist aber mit den Filmen der heutigen Zeit vergleichbar. Das Filmmaterial spiegelt die Kultur in den USA aus der Zeit zwischen 1930 und Ende der 50er Jahre wieder. Das Szenenbild war anders als heute, die Kostüme waren anders, die Verhaltensweisen der Darsteller waren anders, aber die Handlung dieser Filme ist idenstisch mit denen unserer Tage.
In den dreißiger Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts befanden sich die USA in einer Zeit tiefer Depression. Die damals gezeigten Filme sollten von der Depression ablenken und Spaß vermitteln.
In den 50er Jahren, der Zeit von McCarthy, wurde der öffentliche Spaß am Sexfiilm dann verfolgt, so wie man Kommunisten und Andersdenkende verfolgte. In den 50er und 60er Jahren hat sich in den USA aber auch das Selbstbewustsein der Frauen stark weiterentwickelt.
Diese Filme sind gerade deshalb auch ganz besonder wertvoll, um die amerikanische Kultur dieser Zeit verstehen zu können. Sie sind auch deshalb ganz besonders wertvoll, um uns selbst als Menschen mit einer ausgepräten Sexualität besser zu verstehen.
