2.VENUS PARIS
Preparations well underway

As already announced in the final report on the 1st VENUS PARIS, we continue to regard the VENUS in Paris as a key gateway to the Western European region and as a supplement to an international B2B platform in the erotic sector.
From 20th to 22nd April 2007, the VENUS will present itself for the 2nd time in the "Le Bourget" Exhibition Centre in Paris and with a few improvements, representing a meeting-place for the international trade competence of the erotic industry on an exhibition area spanning 15,000 square metres. The new dates for the 2nd VENUS PARIS were subjected to a great deal of scrutiny this time in order to prevent it coinciding with any other major events in Paris. The new Hall 4 has been divided into various areas in order to do full justice to exhibitors, trade visitors and consumers alike.
The Producer Area is a peaceful area offering exhibitors and trade dealers a concentrated B2B area for doing business, tapping new contacts and maintaining existing ones or obtaining information on new products and services. The Show Area is aligned towards consumers and offers an extensive entertainment programme with sexy shows. It is however equally exciting for exhibitors interested in consumer purchasing power and hoping to offer their products for direct sale, for example. At 45.00 / m², the price is considerably lower than the other m² prices. The Shopping Area is a combination of B2B and B2C, thus rounding off the exhibitors offer. Click here for the hall plan (pdf).
But thats not all the improvements to be seen here: with two new partner hotels, the Venus now offers a new meaning to comfort in terms of sleeping. Thanks to the hotels central location, visitors dont have to go far after a long day at the Exhibition to see the sights of Paris. A shuttle service and taxis directly in front of the Exhibition hall and hotels mean that exhibitors and visitors can travel to and fro swiftly and safely.
Confidence in experience of which Venus has plenty when it comes to advertising. As in Berlin, all press work and outside communication in Paris are being taken care of by a single source. Berlin has shown that the advertising mix, i.e. trade dealer ads as well as consumer ads, posters and radio spots, was well-balanced and the same procedure is to be taken in Paris. Plans for consumer advertising include using the same motif as in Berlin (Lia, the VENUS model) and a new shoot with two additional models and a new campaign is currently in progress for the trade dealer press. With VMD (Video Marc Dorcel), the 2nd VENUS PARIS once again has a strong and competent partner in France which would also suggest the presence of many national stars.
Another new feature within the framework of the 2nd VENUS PARIS will be the EAA (European Adult Award) organised by VNM GmbH (Venus Neue Medien). As of 15th April 2007, nominations will be announced for the various categories. Until that date, suggestions for nominations can be submitted at www.europeanadultaward.com. So we can look forward to seeing who the major winner will be this time.
