Magazine: The 2nd VENUS PARIS was cancelled. The entire industry seems to be concentrating on the 11th VENUS BERLIN?
Peter Bübel: Thats true. We had to acknowledge the fact that the industry currently does not wish to have another trade fair. The VENUS in Berlin has established itself so well that both exhibitors and trade dealers from all over the world are concentrating exclusively on the exhibition in Berlin. Proof of this can also be seen in the current registration status as regards exhibitors at the VENUS 2007 an increase of more than 40% on last year.
M: The 11th VENUS is still some way off. But what do the trade fair organisers have to do at this early stage?
PB: Our motto every year is that each new fair starts after each old one finishes. Theres no such thing as resting on our laurels. Every year, we consider what improvements can be made. New ideas are developed in order to offer exhibitors and visitors an even more interesting trade fair than the one before. This year, we plan to set up another new area: the VENUS LINGERIE AREA. This will offer a catwalk (12 x 2.5 m) for presenting fashion and lingerie and all visitors will be able to watch the shows free of charge while exhibitors will have an opportunity to present their latest designs to the public. We will continue to expand the VENUS WEB AREA. After conducting some discussions with onliners, we can now optimise the concept for the WEB AREA in a more targeted manner and we will be presenting it soon. And then we have just set up a new press service for the industry. Via our press portal presse.venus-berlin.com/meldungen, all exhibitors can now present their latest and most innovative products to the media around the world. All an exhibitor has to do is send us the photos and texts and our press department will prepare them for more than 400 newspapers in 22 languages.
M: After the tremendous success of the 10th VENUS, expectations on the organisers are very high. Can the visitor and exhibitor record of the 10th VENUS be topped?
PB: We face this challenge every year and so far, we have always risen to meet it. The current registration status promises yet another increase in the number of exhibitors. We already have many new exhibitors at this early stage who did not participate last year. Thanks to the LINGERIE and WEB AREAS, we can assume that we will succeed in inspiring even more new businesses to exhibit at the 11th VENUS 2007. The VENUS in Berlin offers trade dealers the worlds most extensive platform for obtaining comprehensive information on trends, new products and innovations. An increasing number of trade dealers recognises the advantages of visiting the VENUS and they often spend a few days in Berlin for this purpose.
M: Can we look forward to a wide selection of stars and starlets this year, too?
PB: We can proudly announce that we already have confirmation that the living legend Larry Flint will be coming. Hustler Europe will exhibit this year at the 11th VENUS and apart from the great Larry Flint, superstar Tera Patrick will also be travelling from the USA to Berlin especially for the event.
M: What can the 25,000 consumers anticipate at the 11th VENUS 2007?
PB: We are planning something very special for consumers this year. Under the motto of "VENUS Aktiv", we will be organising an entertainment programme throughout each of the exhibition halls (e.g. body-painting, a massage stand, bull-riding, photo shoots etc.). We will also be picking up on ideas or involvement by exhibitors. One highlight is surely the strip poker event where girls and boys will forfeit their clothes instead of money. We are also planning a poker tournament for exhibitors and trade visitors to be held in the Estrel Hotel for the entire duration of the Fair. We will let you know the exact details when the time comes.
M: Lots of parties are staged on the occasion of the VENUS in Berlin every year. The VENUS VIP party, for example, which has already achieved legendary status. What can exhibitors and trade visitors look forward to this year?
PB: Once again, we will be celebrating in Adagio on the Saturday evening. We can not however say what the exact programme of events will be like at this stage as some queries are still being made. We will be reporting when we know more. But one thing is certain: the "Mamma Mia" musical is coming from Hamburg to Berlin and will be premiering for the media on the same evening (Sat., 20.10.2007) and under the same roof. More than 900 journalists will be there at the same time to make sure they dont miss the spectacle on our red carpet. So anyone wishing to see and be seen should make sure they are at the VENUS VIP party in ADAGIO on the Saturday evening.

With a stand spanning more than 120 m², the sister company of LFP Video Group LLC, USA, has undergone an entirely new makeover.
With Helen Clyne as Managing Director and Jeff Hawkings as CEO and Managing Director, the branch in Krefeld, which was established on 25.01.07, was originally intended to operate for Hustler DVD distribution throughout Europe.
It soon became apparent however that Hustler is still a very strong brand in Europe and Helen Clyne and Jeff Hawkings sound knowledge can be harnessed to support branding here on the continent. "Die heißen Nächte der Josefine Mutzenbacher" (The hot nights of Josefine Mutzenbacher) on DVD, more than 100 minutes long.

Eurocreme wins 9 European Gay Movie Awards!

Eurocreme are proud to announce that they collected 9 of 20 European Gay Movie Awards, including categories like best actor, best director and best studio. The show was held in Amsterdam last Saturday.
Everyone was well represented at the ceremony set in the amazing ODEON building in the centre of Amsterdam. The Czech production team was joined by Eurocremes best models and both the Amsterdam and London staff were there celebrating the announcements of the winners.
The highlights of the evening were not restricted to winning such honourable awards voted exclusively by the audience, but also socialising with other companies, studios and the hottest models from all over Europe, and sharing stories and the latest gossip.
After the show, everyone relaxed over a few glasses in the SOHO bar and celebrations continued until the early morning in the famous EXIT club.
