Its surely no surprise any more when the VENUS announces additional improvements but theres no harm in mentioning them anyway. The declared goal of acquiring at least 400 exhibitors at the 11th VENUS is almost achieved and a gratifying number of new dealers from all over the world has already registered with us.
With more than 150 new exhibitors, this years VENUS can record the highest growth in the events history. So its worth taking a closer look at these "newcomers" and the interesting products and services theyll be bringing with them. One thing to be mentioned up front however is that the origin of these new exhibitors – 28 countries in all – once again clearly affirms the VENUS in Berlin as an international trade fair. And perhaps this is a sign that the merging of markets in the future should be awarded more attention by the industry and trade. No less interesting is the variety of products and services accompanying this international increase in exhibitors and enriching the VENUS in many aspects. Trade can in any case look forward to the fact that its "shelf-warmers" are to face some serious competition. Whether toys, joke items, cosmetics, bondage products, useful items or lingerie – trade buyers can choose from new famous brands and products from all over the world. And rights dealers will also have the opportunity to secure new licences.
The most successful growth however is recorded by the VENUS WEB AREA. The WEB AREA and the idea to merge online and offline business have given rise to much discussion. This shows however that both online and offline users are looking for new platforms and new distribution channels and that the industry regards the VENUS in Berlin as a competent business platform.
Driven by this quest, the organisers surfed somewhat deeper into the requirements of online users. Like last year, the WEB AREA offers lounge areas which can be booked including walls, furniture, carpet, power connection, W-Lan and beverages. The bar remains in place for casual meetings. Following several requests, a B2C area has also been set up for those exhibitors looking for contact to the many consumers. The WEB AREA now also offers an area for presentations and discussions. From Thursday to Saturday, presentations will be held on two issues a day.
The WEB AREA exhibitor index lists key global players in the online sector with the result that the organisers have really done their homework this year.
The area of erotic art is also increasingly discovering the VENUS as an exhibition area. Under the motto of "Big ist einfach beautyfull", the self-acclaimed lover of rotund figures and artist René von Boch (Villeroy & Boch) from Losheim am See will be exhibiting his "fat ass drawings".
